Dress Me Chickadee…
May 25, 2010
Beth has a new line of dresses coming out and they are adorable. I contemplated putting one of these on Drew the other day when the little models came over for their photoshoot. I think he sensed my evil plans and made sure to stay just out of arms reach, but close enough to swipe the bubble machine every few seconds.
It was HOT and HUMID on this particular morning, but the girls were troopers.
Here is a link to all of the pretty…..

Finally!
June 3, 2009
I have been trying to photograph this family for awhile now. For some reason, rain clouds would always seem to appear on the day that we had planned to meet. Today was no exception. Thankfully there was only a small amount of rain, just enough to make things really nice and muggy outside.
Jim and Julie have the nicest backyard! I fully intend to go back and take pictures of the house-sized butterfly bushes so that I can show MY side little guy how big he is SUPPOSED to get!
I entertained the thought of posting a few pictures of Jim from when we went to high school together, but I think he could probably have me arrested or something, so instead I will just post a few of my favorites from this evening!
Talk to you guys soon!

Senior Rep–Raquel
May 28, 2009
This is Miss Raquel…my newest Senior Rep. We met uptown earlier this evening and had fun dodging rain drops and laughing at the guys that kept driving by as we shot near the train tracks. They MUST have been trying to get a better look at my camera lens!
Ha!
Here is a little sneak peek from this evening. I am still going through them and will have more after the weekend. I am looking forward to our jump session, so be practicing your moves!

Mary and Pete
May 26, 2009
I had so much fun getting to know Mary and Pete. From our ten mile hike (all uphill!) at Dunaway Gardens during their engagement session, to their wedding this past Sunday at the same location…we have laughed (and hiked!) a lot!
The ceremony on Sunday was beautiful. From the bridesmaid dresses to the flowers, everything was beautiful in colors of chocolate and green. The weather even held out long enough for everyone to get to the reception tents…and even then it didn’t last that long.
You are such a sweet couple and I am honored that you let me be a small part of your special day.

Rainy afternoon…
May 18, 2009
But the flowers are still pretty! We were being silly, but I like this one that I grabbed! I got to photograph the nicest family yesterday. Caroline met me at the door when I arrived and had all kinds of questions for me about my equipment. She was so sweet and did not mind posing for me at all.
When you have two boys that run when they see you holding a camera, you enjoy it all the more when you have someone that wants you to take their picture!
I will have your family photos up soon! Until then, here is Caroline and her flowers.

Gator + Maternity = Fun
May 15, 2009
I knew when I showed up and had to put my gear in the back of a Gator that it was going to be a fun session. Even though I joked that I had to apply for a passport to travel all the way out to Anne Marie’s house, (it wasn’t that far!) the trip was totally worth it. Everything was beautiful and so peaceful. We joked about she would turn me into a country girl, right after the gator backfired and I tried to climb into her lap…while she was driving.
Ok, so I may have been a little skittish at first, but once Anne Marie convinced me (sort of) that there were no lions running around their nature-preserve-like property, we had fun. I am looking forward to meeting her little man when he arrives soon! Here are some of my favorites from our afternoon….

Darby—Senior Rep
April 27, 2009
I spent Sunday afternoon with Darby and her mom, Bonnie. If every senior comes to their session as well prepared as Darby, I will be good to go! I’m talking wardrobe rack hanging in the back of the car and accessories organized and ready to wear. We dodged bees and rolled around in the grass, even though neither of us had taken our Zyrtec. That is dedication!
Thank you Darby and Bonnie, for making Sunday evening so much fun. I am looking forward to our next session!
Here are some of my favorites…edited to try out a blogging board.

Hey Teresa! I am fellow phaunter, though quite silent lately. I’ve been catching up on reading posts and am enmeshed in the ocf thread w/ali hohn. A question for you, did you use ocf for these senior shots? They are GORGEOUS! They have the dramatic effect of ocf for sure! If you did, you are rocking it already! Also, your model is GORGEOUS! It looks like you had a great time

They Will…
April 23, 2009
These two crazy kids decided to tie the knot recently. This evening we met at my Jim Starr studio to celebrate the occasion!
I am not even going to make any jokes about how once she is married, she will be Mrs. Martha Washington. Nope, I am not going to make ONE single joke about it.
Even though Mr. Washington would have rather been ANYWHERE but in front of the camera, he was a good sport.
The following image sums up our session. Lots of laughter….a very important ingredient to any successful marriage.
Congratulations!

Mr. C
April 19, 2009
Brother to Miss R.
I thought that Drew had the most piercing scream known to mankind.
C proved me wrong.
This kid could sing with dolphins.
I had so much fun chasing (yes, literally) C around Jim Starr and his yard. C has the BEST swing ever in his front yard, and I was excited to get to go and photograph him enjoying it.
Here is one of my favorites from yesterday.

They Will….

Meet Mary and Pete. Super nice and love to laugh almost as much as I do. These two crazy kids are planning to say “I Do” next month at the lovely Dunaway Gardens with photography by yours truly.
Flip flops + Five miles of moss-covered stone steps (all uphill!) = Photographer in Pain
I was laughing with them before we left, telling them that I would be thinking of them tomorrow when I woke up in agony from all of the stair climbing. I was wrong. The pain has already started!
Don’t worry, I’ll ramp up the cardio a little bit and I will totally be ready to keep up with you guys next month. Thanks so much for such a pleasant time this afternoon.
Here is one from today….
